Start from what the assembly needs — a clearance or interference range at a nominal size — and get the ISO 286 fits that deliver it.
Matching fits at Ø25.000 mm
15 ISO fits deliver clearance within your limits — loosest tolerance (cheapest to make) first, then the nearest misses.

Min/Max = clearance; negative values are interference. Tol. = hole tolerance + shaft tolerance. Hole-basis (H) and shaft-basis (h) fits only, per ISO 286-1 §4.4.
How the ranking works
Every hole-basis (H hole) and shaft-basis (h shaft) combination of the common tolerance classes is calculated at your size per ISO 286-1:2010. A fit is listed as within limits when its whole clearance range — from the tightest to the loosest pair of parts — lies inside the range you entered. Among those, the fit with the largest combined tolerance comes first, because wider tolerances are cheaper to manufacture. Fits that miss are ordered by how far they fall outside your limits, so a near miss such as H6/f6 (0.020 to 0.046 mm at Ø25, out by 0.001 mm) is still easy to spot.
Typical targets
- Shaft that must turn freely in a bushing: clearance about 0.02–0.08 mm at Ø25 → running fits such as H8/f7 or H7/f7.
- Locating a part that is removed by hand: transition, up to 0.01 mm interference and 0.02 mm clearance → H7/k6, H7/js6.
- Bushing pressed into a housing: interference 0.02–0.05 mm at Ø25 → H7/s6, H6/s6.
